How To Get Your Energy Back!
Inspired by Amanda Gorman's incredible inaugural poem "The Hill We Climb".
As I listened with my three daughters and husband, this passage, in particular, called out to me...
“Somehow we've weathered and witnessed
a nation that isn't broken
but simply unfinished”
This sentiment applies to each of us.
I am reminded of this every day with my clients, my friends, my family, and myself.
People often share they feel frustrated, overwhelmed, resigned, discouraged, hopeless or defeated.
They regret the mistakes they’ve made.
They are hard on themselves for things they haven’t yet done or accomplished.
They ruminate about how they should have done better. How they should be more or do more.
They are going through something awful, heartbreaking, or difficult.
They feel lost and broken.
And yet we all must remember, in times like those.
We are not broken; we are simply unfinished.
We are human. We are not finished things; we are ever-evolving beings. Constantly growing, learning, and evolving.
We are always a work in progress.
Breakdowns lead to breakthroughs.
Mistakes lead to lessons.
Darkness leads to light.
